Striper Migration Report- June 16, 2023
The highly-anticipated June new moon is here, and stripers are slowly preparing to settle into their summer dwellings.

This week, Assistant Editor Matt Haeffner covers stripers on sand eels from Long Island to Maine, pitching mackerel on the coast of Massachusetts, and fishing with artificial lures during the strong June new moon tides.
Striped bass are beginning to settle into their summer dwellings and water temperatures are quickly climbing as this year’s early migration slowly comes to a halt. The June new moon is typically the last large push of migratory fish up the coast, and anglers are eager to see what this long-anticipated moon phase has in store.
