Bought your 8″ (?) Custom soft grip (orange handle) last year @ Striper Cup and love it!! Holds a edge forever. Finally had to sharpen it the other day after too many black sea bass ?
That’s a great comfortable handle. We just got our first keeper Sea Bass in eastern CT on Sunday. I used the 6″ SOFGRIP that’s in the kit above, worked great and The Sea Bass was excellent!

30 years ago I needed a good set of knives after I nearly sliced my fingers off trying to chunk out some bunker with another famous brand lure maker’s knife. It had a wood handle with no finger guard and when the blade got caught on a bone, my slimy hands slid down the handle and across the blade. Miraculously I came out with only minor cuts but the potential for disaster was impressed upon me. So I watched what the pros used and they almost all used Dexter. With a sure grip and integral finger guard, not to mention the high carbon steel bladeand just the right amount of flex, I have stuck with Dexter’s for all these years and have managed to still be able to count to ten using all my fingers!!
