The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission are collecting public comments on the Bluefish Allocation and Rebuilding Amendment. This action addresses a wide range of issues related to management of the Atlantic bluefish fishery, including potential changes to allocations, development of a rebuilding plan, and other issues.
The Public Hearing Document for this amendment provides complete details on the management options (“alternatives”) being considered and their possible impacts. We strongly encourage all interested individuals to review the full Public Hearing Document before submitting comments.
How to Use The Form
The form provides spaces to comment on each of the management issues (some of which contain multiple sets of alternatives) being considered in this amendment. It is not required to comment on each section. If you would prefer to submit your comments all in one section, scroll down to section 8 (General) and enter or upload your comments there. The abbreviated descriptions of alternatives provided in each section are for reference only and are intended to be used in conjunction with the Public Hearing Document. To be most effective, we request that you identify which alternative(s) you support and provide specific details as to why you support or oppose particular alternatives.
Other Ways to Submit Comments
