Susquehanna River – Lake Aldred Advisory: Boaters and shoreline anglers are made aware that Brookfield Renewable is planning a Lake Aldred drawdown May17th-20th.  The drawdown is being conducted in order to facilitate repair and replacement of the Holtwood Dam’s flashboards which sustained damage as a result of high river flows. The river level will come down to between 163.5 – 164.5, which is three to four feet lower than Lake Aldred’s recreation season lake level of 167.5.

Boaters are forewarned to maintain a proper lookout at all times with strict adherence to Pennsylvania boating laws and regulations. This work is contingent on river flows and may be postponed.
