The recent snowfall will contribute to binging the water levels up in the coming days. It’s a great time to get out on the water for those looking for that wintertime fishing feeling! Look for fish to hold in some of the deeper pockets with slow moving water. Streamers can provide some great action this time of year. Most action continues to take place for those nymph fishing. Hot patterns right now include BH PT Nymphs in sizes 14-20 and Zebra Midges in sizes 18-20.

Anglers were not observed in the local streams recently, most likely due to inclement weather. Winter can still be a great time to get out fishing when the weather is cooperating. The Saucon Creek in the area of Walnut St. and Water St. in Hellertown Borough provides a great fishery even late into the year.
