CHESAPEAKE BAY

The spawning run has begun in Chesapeake Bay.
Fish to 50-plus pounds have been reported by anglers in the area.

DELAWARE BAY

Stripers from school-size to mature pre-spawn fish have been reported in Delaware Bay.

NEW JERSEY

Stripers to keeper size are being taken in Central and Southern NJ backwaters.
Schoolie stripers are being caught regularly on clams in Raritan Bay.

NEW YORK

Stripers to 30 inches have been reported in the Hudson River.
Coastal striper season is closed until April 15 in NY, but short fish are beginning to show in Western Long Island harbors.

CONNECTICUT

Holdover striped bass, including a few to 20 pounds, are active in the Housatonic, Connecticut, and Thames rivers.

RHODE ISLAND

Holdover striped bass should be getting active in locations like the upper Providence River and the Narrow River.

MASSACHUSETTS

Holdover stripers have been caught this week in the Charles and Mystic rivers.

    Last Sunday, the herring were running in the Mashpee River on Upper Cape Cod. A step in the right direction and an indication things aren’t that much delayed from the brutal winter.

    What is the catch limits in MA and CT? How come the little state in between gets penalized this type of shit keeps the fishing tourist out hurting local business

      MA 1 fish. The regs are good for fish population. While it sucks for this season they will be back next year 10 fold.
