Safe fishable ice has been limited but dropping temps should have more waterbodies locked up and available to anglers looking to wet their lines in search of togue, brook trout and salmon.

Ice anglers are making do with smaller water bodies, hoping that the New Year will usher in a good old-fashioned New England freeze.
