Big stripers continue their march north, with 40-pounders reported on Cape Cod and 30-pounders as far north as Boston Harbor.  The trophy striper fishing continues in northern New Jersey, and big bass are pushing east along both shores of Long Island. Striped bass in the 20-pound class are moving into Maine waters in greater numbers.

Chesapeake Bay Striper Report

The Maryland DNR reported that striped bass fishing continues to be very good throughout Chesapeake Bay and in some of its tributaries. Chumming seems to be the most productive tactic lately, with small, undersize stripers (Bag limit is 2 fish, minimum size is 20 inches, only one of which can be equal to or greater than 28 inches), making up the majority of the catch. Still, larger schoolie stripers are being caught, and in good numbers.

New Jersey Striper Report

Bass into the 20-pound range are being landed in the bays and surf of South Jersey, with fresh clams producing some large bass for South Jersey surfcasters this week. From Island Beach State Park north to Sandy Hook in North Jersey, the live-lining bite turned on, with fishermen catching stripers from 30 to 50 pounds on live bunker, poppers, and swimming plugs. Trolling bunker spoons and mojo rigs continues to work as well.

New York – Long Island Striper Report

Post-spawn stripers leaving the Hudson River have improved the fishing in Western Long Island Sound. Bass to 30 pounds are spreading toward the East End. Reports of larger bass are scarce on the eastern end of Long Island, but Montauk and the North Fork should see a push of 30-pound fish soon. Read more in the Long Island Fishing Report.

Connecticut Striper Report

The bass are getting bigger along the Connecticut coast, with stripers up to 50 pounds chasing herring and bunker at the mouths of the tidal rivers. Fishing on the reefs continues to pick up. View the Connecticut Fishing Report.

Rhode Island Striper Report

Stripers to 40 inches have spread out from the South County beaches to Narragansett Bay. Big bass are still being caught in the Upper Bay. and the biggest bass are being caught in the upper bay on snagged bunker. View the Rhode Island Fishing Report.

Cape Cod Striper Report

Bass to 30 pounds have been caught this week in the Cape Cod Canal. Cape Cod Bay and Race Point have been hot with schools of keeper bass including many in the 20-pound class. View the Cape Cod Fishing Report

Massachusetts Striper Report

Big bass are being caught on live mackerel, mostly in deep water and on the ledges off Scituate, Hull, and the outer harbor islands. Schoolie stripers are dominating from the North Shore to Plum Island, but more 20-pound bass are in the mix. Read about it in the Massachusetts Fishing Report

New Hampshire and Maine Striper Report
