Shimano & Ocean Born Casting Demo – Costa #KickPlastic Event

Shimano and Ocean Born Surfcasting Demo

Shimano Ambassador and striper surfcasting specialist Roy Leyva, along with world-renowned lure designer Patrick Sebile of A Band of Anglers, went down to Surf Drive Beach in Falmouth for surfcasting demonstrations this past Saturday.

Between morning fishing and StriperFest, anglers were able to try out Shimano’s lineup of surfcasting rods and reels, as well as an array of long-casting Ocean Born lures, some of which have yet to be released!

Everyone was able to check out the latest in Shimano surfcasting technology and Sebile’s Ocean Born Flying Series Lures for themselves. Roy Leyva and Patrick Sebile both spent time after the demonstrations to talk more in more detail and answer questions.

Costa #KickPlastic Clean Up

Along with the surfcasting demos, Costa Sunglasses was supporting their #KickPlastic campaign.

In an effort to clean-up our local Cape Cod beaches and waterways, Costa encourages fishermen, boaters, and beachgoers to hit the local beaches and gather up as much trash as they can. Everyone who collected a bag of trash picked up from a local beach that morning was entered to win a pair of Costa Sunglasses and was given a hat as well!
