This will be another great weekend to hit the docks for herring.
The weather is looking a lot more reasonable for this weekend compared to what we have been seeing.

Charter and party boats are updating their schedule on a day to day basis as to whether or not they will be heading out so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that things will get better.
The cod bite is really good and is only going to get better as the winter wears on.
With sea bass and porgy seasons ending on Thursday, charters are running cod only trips from the South Shore and East End starting New Year’s Day.
We will not be as lucky on the weather front this weekend as we were last weekend, and the sea conditions are not helping the situation.
North Shore Long Island Fishing Report John at Terminal Tackle in Kings Park reported a downhill trend on the tautog front with not even many shorts keeping rods bent as of late.
Nice mild temperatures will make an appearance for Thursday allowing anglers without kitchen duties to sneak out before the turkey is served.
