Rapala® redefines lure design by combining the action of two legendary lures to form the X-Rap Shad
MINNETONKA, Minn. (May 9, 2007) — Prepare to be blown away by the latest evolution of the Rapala® family: the new X-Rap Shad.
The revolutionary X-Rap Shad combines the tight action of a Shad Rap with the extreme characteristics of Rapala’s most popular and recognized X-Rap line of lures. The X-Rap Shad features a translucent body with internal scale patterns and displays a holographic foil appearance that will mesmerize any species of fish.
With an internal long-cast mechanism to ensure ultimate castability and incorporated features like suspending action and feathered tail hook, the X-Rap Shad provides anglers with options to match specific fishing styles, weather conditions and species. Put simply: this lure makes high definition TV seem boring.
“On the cast or on the troll, the Shad Rap action paired with the characteristics of the X-Rap creates a one-of-a-kind action,” said Mark Fisher, Rapala director of field promotions.
The X-Rap Shad is available in two sizes and 15 color patterns. One size is 2 1/2 inches long with a swimming depth of 6 to 11 feet. A second is 3 1/8 inches in length with a swimming depth of 7 to 10 feet and is scheduled to be released in September 2007. The X-Rap Shad color patterns include Purpledescent, Yellow Perch and Hot Steel that will surely entice fish anytime, anywhere.
